Suricate Solutions VS SOS Data Recovery: what do the documents say?
Two Swiss data recovery providers, both listed in the commercial register: a specialised provider based in Rossens (FR) and a laboratory with a written commitment to processing in Switzerland. This comparison does not judge skills: it documents the differences in environment descriptions, written commitments and service. The choice is yours, based on your needs.
The essentials in three points

Two points to understand before choosing
1. The media opening environment: two different descriptions
Suricate states that it uses a "Flux Laminaire de Catégorie 2" (category 2 laminar flow; French version of the site) and openly publishes its position: in its view, a cleanroom is not necessary for data recovery. This is a position taken by this provider, which we quote as is.
SOS Data Recovery opens storage media under an ISO 5 certified laminar flow (certificate available on request), and our facilities can be visited by appointment. These two descriptions use reference frameworks or descriptions which, on their own, do not establish technical equivalence.
2. Written commitments: what we identified
In the public sources examined in August 2026, we did not identify any general terms and conditions published by Suricate, nor any written guarantee of processing in Switzerland. Its premises are in Switzerland, in Rossens; for an assignment where the location of processing is decisive, ask for a written confirmation applicable to your case, specifying the place of processing and any subcontractors.
At SOS Data Recovery, processing entirely in Switzerland is the subject of a written contractual commitment (GTC, Art. 3.1): the media, the working copies and the recovered data remain in Switzerland at every step, smartphones included.
When Suricate can be a relevant choice
This comparison documents differences in environment descriptions and written commitments, not in skill. Suricate Solutions is a Swiss limited liability company (Sàrl) listed in the commercial register, with an address in Rossens. Its website claims 15 years of experience and more than 6,000 recovered storage media (French version of the site; the English homepage states "over 10 years"), along with numerous public customer reviews on Google (Google listing consulted on 20.08.2026: 202 reviews, displayed rating of 5.0), and announces a free, no-obligation quote. For a customer looking for a nearby provider in French-speaking Switzerland, these characteristics can be relevant.
The differences documented above concern the description of the working environment, the written commitment to processing in Switzerland and the content of the assessment before any decision. It is up to each customer to weigh these criteria according to how critical their data is and their documentation requirements.
Methodology note. The findings on this page rely exclusively on public sources consulted in August 2026: the suricate.ch website and the central commercial register (zefix.ch). Each finding is dated; the screenshots and exact references are kept on file. "Not documented" means that no information was identified in the sources examined, not that the fact does not exist. The provider may update its documents: this page is re-checked periodically (last check: August 2026).
